HATSUKOI

"Once a conqueror in my heart that never cease to surrender.."

Boy,

You long asked me, “Who do you really love?”, “Do I still have your heart?”. Questions. Those questions that even I, can't answer. I failed you, and left you with so much confusion. Your hurting... and I can never forgive myself for that. My first love. The very first person who made me realize how I was capable of loving. You opened up a whole new world for me. A world that I was afraid of getting in. But then, you were there and made sure that everything will be alright. You were there.. and I was happy. We laughed together, cried together, watched the sunset together and dreamt together. And since then on, there's nothing that I can't do, whenever when I'm with you. Watching the sunset with you, was one of the happiest days of my life. I never get to realize how beautiful it was, not until I got the chance to watch it with you. But despite the sameness in us, our differences have brought us in different paths. The dreams that we used to dream together all died. A slow death it was. And it was like I died with them too.

And then something happened. I don't know how it happened. It just did. I met him. And with him, it was a different thing. I taught him, what you used to taught me. I cared for him, like the way you cared for me. And it feels good. I don't know how, but I ended up falling for him. And if you ask me if I still love you? Yes. I still do. Loving him doesn't mean loving you less. Your place in my heart will remain as it is. Like a memory that never fades, like my love for you, forever. But now, I finally decided to give him my whole self, my whole life, as his wife. I made a promise in front of God, to be always be there for him, until the day my life is through. And with that vow, forever with him has just begun. Yet when I lay to sleep at night, I often think of you. And it puts me into a state of reminiscing memories, I know I can’t bring back. And I know, I can never watch the sunset again, without thinking of you.................

Wo ai ni. And Goodbye!

Forever,

Girl

WHERE'S YOUR PRINCE,PRINCESS?

“Yo, G-yan!” A deep male voice called, a tall boy around the tender age of 17 dressed in blue school uniform stood outside of the small townhouse impatiently, “And I thought you didn’t like taking more than five minutes to get ready..” He muttered, slinging his bag over his shoulder.

BANG!

The door flew open, a girl appearing a few years younger than the boy and about a head shorter than him rushed out of the door. She wore the same uniform as him but with a few modifications, of course. The girl wore baggy track pants and her white shirt was untucked with her blazer unbuttoned.

She pulled on her shoes quickly, nodding to the woman behind her and ran over besides the boy, “Bye omma!”

“Junsu, thanks for always looking after our little G-yan!” Her omma called with a man standing at her side.

G-yan sighed as Junsu grinned, his face beaming.

“No problem! I’ve always looked after her since we were babies,” He waved at her parents and pushed G-yan forward.

“Yah, big Butt let’s go!”

“Calm down G-yan, we’re not late for school. I just couldn’t wait to see you!” He nagged, clinging onto her arm.

G-yan shoved Junsu off continuing to walk down the street.

He stopped, looking at her up and down, “you know, you look less like a girl than you did yesterday.” Junsu said, inspecting her.

“Haha,” G-yan laughed sarcastically and shot him a glare, “Where’s my hat?” She said sternly, sticking her palm out.

Junsu looked confused for a moment, then quickly pulled out a baseball hat from his bag and placed it on her head, pulling her long black ponytail through the hole in the cap.

“It’s all yours.” He said in a fake understanding tone jokingly and patted her head. “Remember to take it off before we reach school.”

“Oh well, even if I get in trouble i wouldn’t be as bad as when you got caught for having platinum blonde hair,” She teased with a proud expression on her face, ruffling his newly dyed black hair.

Junsu poked his tongue out at her and sprinted in front of her.

“At least I don’t always come late! What would you do without me?!” He yelled from a few metres away, racing for the school ahead.

-----------------------------------------

They arrived in front of the school watching as the headmaster stood outside the metal gates swinging his ‘who-knows-how-many-metres’ long wooden ruler wildly while lecturing a group of students.

G-yan and Junsu stared dully at them for a moment before they both decided to sneak pass the principal and his batch of untamed animals.

“HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!” They froze, hearing the headmaster’s ferocious voice.

“TEN LAPS AROUND THE OVAL!” He screamed once again.

Junsu turned around with his palms up in surrender, ready for his lecture, “I’m sorr--“

G-yan cupped her hand over his mouth pointing to the boy escaping from the group of punished students.

“It’s not you, but even if it was, you could always just flash your maths department badge at them and I’m sure they’ll let you off,” She smirked, slowly removing her hand from his mouth.

----------------------------------------------------------

G-yan looked at the framed photo of the South Korean flag above the blackboard as she turned her gaze upon the rest of the class entering the now noisy classroom.

Junsu sat in the desk next to her, leaning over form his desk to talk to her, “G-yan..” He stuttered, finding a topic to discuss, “Do you remember when your parents first explained about the birds and the bees?”

She looked at him with a shocked expression, raising an eyebrow at him.

“OKAY CLASS, PAY ATTENTION!” The teacher shouted as he came into the classroom, walking up to the front desk, “Today we have a new transfer student, now come up and introduce yourself.”

A boy dressed neatly in appropriate uniform stepped into the class, the girls inside already started whispering and giggling, chatting among themselves.

He walked up to the teacher’s table turning to face the audience.

“Anyoonghaseyo,” He bowed politely, an unknown accent seeping through, “Chonun Ethan Ruan imnida.”

Ethan had a built body but was still somewhat slender, his hair sitting perfecting on his head and fitting nicely with his face shape.

Ethan flashed an irresistible smile at the class, making the girls in the room swoon.

He looked around again meeting G-yan’s eye, he smiled directly at her.

“You can call me Ethan, I’m originally from Taiwan and just recently moved to Korea for job opportunities, so my Korean isn’t that good. Please look after me.” He bowed once again as the teacher nodded in approval.

“Okay, now Ethan is a new student, he needs someone to show him around the school.” the teacher looked around the classroom spotting an empty seat on the other side of G-yan.

“Ah. You can sit next to G-yan,” he pointed at G-yan. ”You look after him, alright?” She nodded watching as Ethan approached, taking the seat beside her.

“Anyoong,” he said, nodding at her.

Junsu looked from behind G-yan, watching as they chatted casually. He looked away, rejected, and begun flicking through his exercise book.

----------------------------------------

“So, how long have you been in Korea?” G-yan questioned looking at him intrigued.

Ethan smiled at her before answering, “I’ve been here for around two months already, but been looking for the right school.”

“Did you join the martial arts group in Taiwan?” She asked excitedly.

“Of course! I also did traditional and alternative dancing.”

G-yan grinned happily, “Man, I love those. You must be pro!”

Junsu trailed behind the two as G-ayn showed Ethan around the school grounds. He barely said a word and just followed after them glumly.

“Are you a Taiwaness too?” G-yan asked, walking around the classrooms and peering in every few rooms.

“Ye—“

“Yeah, she is, she moved here when she was 7, got educated at Dong Wong elementary then she moved to Gwangju, studied there for a few months and then came back to Seoul where she is now. May I add that she also likes being violent?” Junsu answered briskly giving Ethan a blank look.

Ethan looked taken aback, “Uhh.. Sorry?”

“Hmph,” Junsu walked away, slipping into their classroom.

G-yan looked at Junsu surprised as he stormed his way back into the classroom, leaving her and Ethan alone in the hallway.

“That idiot, what’s his problem?” She muttered under her breath.

“Did I do something wrong?” Ethan looked at her hurt, staring at her sadly.

G-yan gave him a soft smiled, flicking her ponytail back and stomped off in the direction of the classroom, “I’ll be back,” she assured.

-----------------------------------------------------

“JUNSU!” She screamed, slamming the door open. Forcing everyone in the room to stop, drop everything and watch her with gob smacked expressions.

Junsu glanced up at her entrance from his seat, “What?”

“That’s what I’m asking you.” G-yan snapped, standing in front of him.

“Nothing,” He mumbled, returning to the book he was reading.

G-yan felt angry, why was he doing this? She glared at him evilly.

Ethan peeked from the hallway, staring at them through the classroom window.

He slid the door open attracting the class’s attention. “G-yan, can you please show me where the bathroom is?”

Junsu snickered, “Go show your prince where to do his thang.”
G-yan turned on her heel, heading for the door.
“Let’s go to my mother’s dumping shop later, its only a few streets away,” Ethan suggested as Junsu watched them go out of view.

Junsu dropped his book on the table, placing his head in his hands.

Feeling a burning sensation in his chest, Junsu clutched onto his shirt loosening his tie, “You’re right, what is wrong with me? I always used to be the only one you could talk to, the one that was closest to you..” He muttered quietly, “I guess that isn’t how it is anymore.”

Junsu stared at his table wearily, looking at the stick figure drawing G-yan drew onto the desk, ‘BFFS 4EVA!’ He laughed at it silently, turning away.
“You mean more to me than you thought you did.”

--------------------------------------------------------

“WHAT IS YOUR DAMN PROBLEM?!” G-yan shouted, slamming Junsu’s back against the locker.

“Arghh,” Junsu groaned as the impact from the hit sunk it, “Go back to your Ethan, since he means so much to you.” He growled, staring into her eyes.

G-yan kept her hands on his shoulders trapping him, “Why have you been avoiding me for a whole month?!”

Junsu looked away from her, refusing to answer.

“And what do you have against Ethan!?” She shouted again, staring at him angrily.

“Hah, him? I don’t have anything against him, it’s you.”

G-yan felt the fury building up inside her, it’s been in there for too long.

“So what could I have possibly done to you?” She gave him the question he was waiting for.

“You made me love you.” Junsu said softly.

She laughed dropping her hands from his shoulders, “Is this really the time to be joking?”

Junsu grabbed her wrist pulling her into his tight embrace, “Does this look like I’m kidding?” He whispered in her ear.

G-yan struggled in the grip, noticing how strong he really was, “You’re just being stupid!” She shouted trying to push him away, “THERE’S ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THAT YOU COULD LIKE ABOUT ME!” She gave up struggling against him, her arms falling limp by her side.

“I’m an idiot, a genderless violent girl.. and the worst thing about me is that I like you too.”

Junsu heard her, a smile appearing on his face and he tightened his hold on her, “But the best thing about me, is you.”

TRAGIC JOKE

There was a girl named Suzy. She has a boyfriend named Yunho.
They both love each other very much.

February 14, 2009, 7o’clock in the evening

Suzy is looking at the city though her window.

“Unfair!!! It’s Valentines Day and I don’t have a date. I hate you Yunho” she said angrily

Yunho is in his office doing paper works.

“Sorry Suzy.” He whispered with a sigh.

Then something came to Suzy’s mind. She smiled evilly.

“I’ll make you pay, Jung Yunho.”

Then she picked up her phone and started texting Yunho things about breaking up.
Yunho didn’t noticed that Suzy is texting her.
At last, Yunho is done with his work.
He picked up his phone and noticed that SUzy texted him.
He read each message. Then a tear fell from his chocolate brown eyes. Then followed by another, and then another, then another, he can’t control his self from crying.
Every sentence in the text hit him. It felt like his heart was shattered into tiny pieces.
Then he smiled, his trying to convince his self.

“Suzy is just joking, hehehe, she loves me so much.” He said trying to convince his self

He texted Suzy:

“This is a joke, right???”

Suzy answered:

“No, do you think im kidding???”
Well, for your information. NO”

Then,
He texted Suzy back.

Suzy was really happy when Yunho texted her back.
The text was:

“What did I do???”
“Don’t you love me anymore???”

Then Suzy smiled.
Then she texted back:

“NO, I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE!!!”
“In fact, I didn’t love you”
“So let’s break up”

After reading this,
Yunho was really sad, really, really, really sad.
What Suzy texted is rang into his mind continuously.
His heart was shattered into pieces.
He doesn’t know what to do.
He can hardly breathe.
Suzy is his everything.

He texted her again:

“Do you love someone???”

Suzy:

“Yes”

Yunho even cried louder. He doesn’t care anymore.
When he was calmed a bit, he can’t understand why???
Why did Suzy, the most important person in his life just played with him???
He always though that Suzy was the perfect one.
Then he said to his self:
“Even if she doesn’t like me, I’ll continue loving her.”

Yunho texted Suzy:

“Suzy, if that’s what you want,
I’ll give you your freedom,
Be happy with that someone you love.
I’ll still love you even if I’m gone after I use this gun.”

Suzy read the message:
“Oh no. I’ve gone too far.” She said to herself feeling guilty.
Then she quickly called Yunho. But it’s too late Yunho turned off his phone.

“Yunho please answer me, please.” Then she started crying.

She ran out of her house to go to Yunho’s office.
Then it started raining.
There’s no taxi so she just ran through the rain, crying.

“Yunho please wait for me” she said to herself.
Then the happy memories they build together came to her mind.

The first time they met, all their argument,
The time when Yunho asked Suzy to be his girlfriend.
Their dates, their plans for the future, how many children they want to have,
Their dream house, what’s their plan for their wedding.
And that they want to grow old and die together.

“Yunho wait for me, I’m sorry.”

“I love you”

Then she reached Yunho’s workplace.

She ran to Yunho’s room.

She opened the door.

BANG!!!

“YUNHOOOOOO”

To late Yunho already killed his self.

“Yunho” Suzy said as she walks towards Yunho. She puts Yunho’s head on her lap.

“Yunho, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do so.”
“Yunho, I won’t let you die alone, let’s die together.” She cried

She kissed Yunho’s lips and said:
“Yunho, I love you and I always will.”

She killed herself with the gun Yunho used to kill his self.

AS WE KISS GOODBYE

Kristine's POV

"Good Morning babe!" I opened my eyes to the sight of seeing Jaejoong oppa's face in front of me.
"Morning.." I said yawning as he gave me a peck on the cheek.
"So why did you come over so early oppa? And did omma let you in again?" I asked suddenly wondering.
He giggled and replied, "Oh baby! you're so cute! Haha. I came over early just to make my baby Krissie
BREAKFAST IN BED!" I looked at him up and down and realized he was wearing omma's pink apron.
I laughed and gave him a big hug, "AWW! OPPA! SARANGHAE!",
"Love you too babe!" he replied and kissed me again but this time on my forehead.

I couldn't wish for anything more then to have Jaejoong oppa right here with me.
He was my all, my everything. I was the envy of all girls in our school. Who wouldn't be anyways? My boyfriend was the HOTTEST, RICHEST and SEXIEST guy
on the planet! But hey thats not why i love him (: He is someone i could always count on when i was down and out, my listening ear, my shoulder, my one and ONLY love.
Everyone saw us as the perfect couple, the ones that were made in heaven for each other. Yes, we were also the envy
of all other couples out there.

-At school-

Narrators POV

"ARGHH! its DBSK!!" yelled a girl as DBSK walked through the school doors of Paradise High.
"Jaejoong Oppa! Please accept!" a girl stood in front of DBSK and bowed down holding a letter in front of her passing it to Jaejoong.
"Woah! Hyung another one?!" Junsu said playfully hitting him on the arm, as Jaejoong just stared at him. His stare was enough to make Junsu back off.
"Err... i'm sorry but i would have to reject... you see that girl over there..." Jaejoong turned her around to face another girl at the lockers, "She's my girlfriend, Kristine,my one and only love."
The girl looked down to the ground and said, "Oh well thank you anyways oppa." and she walked off.
"Hi oppa!" Kristine greeted her lover as Jaejoong lifted her off the ground and planted a kiss on her lips.
"Hey babe," he greeted back.
"OMO! Kristine is sooooo lucky!" exclaimed all the other girls who were full of envy of the perfect couple in the middle of the room.
"Hey oppas!" Kristine greeted the other DBSK'ers.
"Yo Kristine!" they all greeted back as they each gave her a hug.
"So what do you want to eat today darling?" Jaejoong asked Kristine as they walked up the stairs to their private room.
"Hmm anything's fine oppa.. as long as i have you with me! (:" Kristine replied. Jaejoong turned her around to face him and their noses were touching
one another. "Saranghae Tin," Jae said as he planted yet another sweet and short kiss on her lips.
"I love you too," Kristine replied as she kissed him back.
"Oh come on guys! Get a room will you! My poor innocent eyes are burning!" complained Changmin as the 4 other boys came across the TOO-TOUCHY couple.
Jae and Kristine giggled it off and sat on the sofa with the other 4.
"So how about going Thai today?" suggested Junsu.
"Yea! Let's go now! My stomach is going to collapse of hunger!" whined Changmin.
"Oh quit your whining Minnie you're ALWAYS hungry like 24/7!" Yunho said as he smacked Changmin on the back of his head.
"OWW! That hurt hyung! You're going to get it!" yelled Changmin as he started to chase Yunho around the whole room. When he caught him
he put Yunho's head under his arm and started to mess up his hair.
"ARGHH!! OK OK MINNIE BIAN BIAN!!! Let me go PLEASE!!" pleaded Yunho.
"This is why you should NEVER EVER mess with Changmin," Micky said as he, Jaejoong, Junsu and Kristine watched the two battle it out and laughed their asses off.

"Tin you free tomorrow darling?" asked Jaejoong as he kissed her hand.
"Hmm.. yea? What's up babe?" replied Kristine.
"I want to bring you to somewhere special!" exclaimed Jaejoong.
"Haha. Okay. But what's the occasion?" Kristine asked wondering.
"You'll find out dear," Jaejoong simply said as he kissed he on the cheek.
"Awww Hyung! Why aren't you bringing me along!!!" whined Junsu.
"Yah! Don't be silly! You want to play gooseberry with them?" laughed U-know as he pinched Junsu's cheeks.
"But I wanna go!" pouted Junsu.
"Come now Junsu! We can go play on our own!" Micky tried to convince Junsu to leave the couple okay.
"Alright Hyung," finally Junsu gave in and just slumped back into the chair sulking.

-The next day-

Kristine's POV

I woke up from my bed stretched and yawned out loud. I stood up and got ready for the day with oppa.
I wore my black shorts, white tank top and a black vest. Just added a long necklace with a heart pendent at the end and a pair of black and white bracelets.
Grabbed my bag, phone, keys, ipod and wallet and went downstairs to the kitchen.
"Morning omma!" i greeted my mum with a hug and sat down at the table.
"So where you off to today honey?" she asked me as she placed a plate with toast in front of me.
"Hmm i'm not too sure to omma. Oppa said its a special place?" I replied not too sure of where i was going either.
"Ahhh well take care of yourself and come back in one piece yea?"
"Nehhh."

RINGRING!!

"Yoboseyo?" I flipped open my phone.
"Hey babe! You ready for a day of fun?" oppa was on the line.
"Oh hey oppa! Yea?" I answered.
"Okay! Well i'm outside your house now so come when you're ready.
"Okay! See you in a minute oppa!" I hung up the phone, finished my breakfast, kissed mum good bye, wore on my black pumps and out the door i went.
"Hey oppa!" I greeted him as I ran into his arms.
"Hi Tin. You missed me that much?" he teased as he held me in his arms.
He opened the door for me and i hopped in and put on the seatbelt as he walked to the other side.
"You ready girl?" he asked again.
"Yep!" I said ecstatically.
And off we went!
As oppa was driving along the roads my eyes started to close as time passed and soon enough i drifted off to sleep.

Jaejoong's POV

I looked at her from the side and saw that she had fallen asleep. I started to ponder on how i was going to break the news to her.
Wondering what her reaction be, will she wait for me? I kept on driving as these thoughts brainwashed my mind.

"Hey baby, wake up we've reached," I leaned over to her chair to wake her up.
"Uhh... huh?" she rubbed her eyes and slowly coming back to reality.
"We're here," I said again.
"Oh.. i see..." she sat up and looked out the window, "What are we doing here oppa?" she asked.
"To eat of course! They sell real good BULGOGI here!" i explained as i came out the car around to her side and opened the door for her holding onto her hand.
"OHH! really?! hehe! So this is the special place?" she asked looking at me with one eyebrow up confused.
"No babe! I just don't want you to STARVE to death! The ride to the special place is pretty long so yea.." i explained carefully not wanting to reveal where i was going to bring her.
She looked at me shaping her mouth into and 'O' and suddenly she grabbed my hand and ran to the restaurant, "THEN LET'S GO!!" I laughed and ran along with her.
We both ate till our stomachs almost exploded, then we went back to the car and was off to "MY special" place...
"Babe you can have a rest now if you want... i'll wake you up when we reach," I told her as we buckled our seatbelts on.
"Okay oppa," she said tiredly as she yawned and closed her eyes.
'I love you Kristine.. you know that right?' I though to myself as i pushed her hair behind her ears.

I walked out of the car and on to the sand. This was where i had spent my childhood days. Always playing with Hyung on the beach making sandcastles and running through the waters splashing one another... "Hyung why did you have to go?" i said aloud to myself.
"Hey! You didn't wake me up oppa!" Kristine whined as she wrapped her arms around my shoulders from behind.
"Hehe. i just wanted you to have more rest Tin," i explained as i lifted her up and piggy backed her.
"Haha. okay oppa you're forgiven," she laughed as she kissed me on the cheek. I piggy-backed her to the waters and walked through it listening to the waves
crash against one another. Looking ahead at the sunset at the same time.
"Wow oppa, so this is you're special place? It's really pretty," she asked me.
"Yea.. it's full of memories. Remember the time i told you about my Hyung? This was where we always played."
"I see..."
I put her down as her feet touched the waters as well. I turned her around to face me and hugged her.
"Kristine-ah.. if i tell you something now that might make you cry but i have a reason.. would you still love me?" I asked her as i hugged her.
"Hmm? Why you asking this oppa? But of course i would always love you!" she replied cheerfully as i felt her squeeze me tighter.
"Well... omma's sending me to Japan to study..." I finally said it.
"Haha. Funny oppa, that's funny," she thought i was joking.
"I'm serious Tin. But i'll be back for you.. i promise. Its only for 2 years, we can still call one another everyday!" i pulled her away from me and saw that she was holding back the tears that were threathening to fall.
"But what am i suppose to do without you oppa?" she replied as she started to sob.
"I'll promise you i will call you everyday and web cam one another alright? 2 years will fly past," I hugged her again and caressed her hair.
"Promise oppa?" she asked.
"I promise," i pulled her away and touched her cheek with the back of my hand,i gave her a kiss on the lips and soon we deepened it. We pulled away from one another and i told her, "Saranghae Kristine-ah."
"Nado Saranghae oppa..." we hugged each other and turned to look at the sun setting.

Kristine's POV

'What am i going to do without oppa?' i asked myself. 'But i have to let him go in order for him to be happy. Saranghae Oppa' we stood on the beach in each
others arms and looked at the sun setting.

TO BE USED

----

Author's note: I dont even know why I made this fic. It's really very sad and depressing. I had to edit it and decided I would NOT put any NAMES of the characters but instead put strong imphasis on WHO are the characters.

I made this after I saw some vids about one of my boys and this side of his personality hit me. I dont know why he is like that or will he ever stop being like that. What he's doing is NOT right but I dont have the right to tell him that, do i?

Warning: PG-13; some bad words; sad; depressing

----

The guy was busy. He always was. He had to chat up the ladies and had to prove his prowess. Feed the hunger to know he was wanted inside of of those b*tches. She had no doubt he had f*cked at least half of them on the nights he said he was out with his family or practicing. She knew and yet she stayed.

Why did she let the man do this to her? Pain and betrayal permanetly lodged in the broken remains of her heart. He was to blame. He used her, and then ignores her until he needed her again. She was only a toy to the guy, not anything of importance. She knew this and still she chose to wait for him to come back to her. To endure the pain of his infedlities.

Faithfulness was no longer something she expected from him, it seememd beyond him. He seemed to have a hunger that no amount of women could fill. She knew that one day that hunger would swallow all that she was and leave her with nothing but a broken soul and alone. That day was close, she could feel it in her.

She was slowly becoming a puppet that moved when her strings were pulled. The guy knew how to play her, could play her as well as he could play those beautiful melodies on the piano. He could easily make meaningless promises as he can make those heartwarming song compositions. He easily made her give her heart and herself to him and she found it hard getting those back.

In her mind a battle was being fought for the last part that was herself. It all boiled down to two choices: be used or discarded. Her gaze landed on him pratically eating a woman's face on the dance floor, he wasn't even bothering to be discreet anymore. She met his cold gaze, and instantly made up her mind.

There was no longer any doubt in her mind. She knew what she needed to do.

She would get her heart and self back.

TURTLE HAIRED COUPLE?

Author's note: i was inspired to make this fic when i saw the pic above. Geng managed to look manly with the hair, Heechul on the other hand...

----

"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR!!!?" Heechul screamed as Geng entered the dressing room causing the others to abruptly stop what they are doing and stare at the new arrival.

"Um..." Hangeng stood there and fidgeted. How can he explain this to Heechul and the others. He could tell them the hairstylist-noona had gone mental but he didn't want to lie so, he thought of the next best thing...

"What's suppose to be YOUR concept?" he asked instead to change the topic.

"It's my interpretation of the 'manly' look" heechul just shrugged, as if forgetting his screaming mode earlier. Anything involving himself and looks distracts him easily.

"You look like a beggar, nothing like a 'cool mafia guy' we are suppose to portray." the chinese guy quipped from the other side of the room.

"And YOU look nothing like the 'mythical dragon' concept you were blabbing about" the feminine looking guy retorted.

By now, the people in the dressing room have resumed what they were doing after the little scene from the HanChul tandem. They have been used to the princess' overexagration when it comes to the china man. And they also know that Geng is adept enough to deal with Heechul's ever changing mood.

"Explain why you looked like a turtle" Heechul asked while looking at him through the mirror.

Geng was relieved the princess was having hair and make up done at the moment. That made things easier.

"Um...a turtle is a mythical being right?" the chinese guy ended lamely.

----

After the second live performance...

"Chul-ah, are you sure with this?"

"Of course I am! If people wear couple shirts, why can't we have couple hair???" heechul stared at him as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"But were not a couple"

"True. but it gives me the satisfaction that the fans think we are" he said winking and smilling sweetly at the china man.

"But...it's...well...it's weird." the hairstylist looked at Geng, silently asking for help. She agreed to do the chinese's hair like that but she is having second thought about doing the same cut on Heehcul. Sure, Chullie might insist on getting it right at that moment but what about after?

She didnt want to deal with heechul in the first place and she especially did not want to deal with him having a bad hair day. She cant take too much of the horror.

Geng, on the other hand, felt it was a bit amusing to know Heechul made something good out of this disaster. Only Chullie would think it'll be the next big thing. He just hopes the other will not go into a fit once the styling is done.

--------------

"You look stupid." Geng said blatanly looking at his newly hairstyled friend, perhaps the only one in Korea able to say that to Heechul and not get slapped. Or kicked or be the subject of the princess' feared bitching.

"I'm stylish. You're stupid. Get it right." Heechul, looking at the mirror for the nth time admired the reflection he made "Look at that beauty."

He then grabbed a pair of sunglasses and threw to their chinese member. "Wear it. Then we'll take our new couple picture." he then took his own glasses (even though it's really Geng's) and asked the PD to take their pic.

"Look cool Hannie"

-----------------

Extra:

"You looked like a turtle."

"Well, you copied so you're a turtle too."

"...We can use that..."

"Huh?"

"If we got the slot for the next couple in WGM, we can use that name."

"What name?"

"Turtle couple. Stupid."

IM SORRY

“Jaejoong~!” Kristine called. He turned around smiled widely at her.

“Hello, Miss Kristine. How are you today?” he asked politely.

“Jaejoong… I told you to call me Kristine! And not to speak so formally. I thought you had good memory!”

“I’m sorry, Mi- Kristine. I guess informal language is something I was not installed with.”

Kristine crossed her arms and pouted. “I need to talk to Daddy to install it then.”

Install? You may be wondering what I mean. Let’s start from the beginning.

In the year 3200, there aren’t very many people around. Only those who could quickly devise or pay for the protective mechanism that shielded them during the cataclysmic explosion of 3189 were left. Kristine’s father, was a famous technological magician created a shield to protect his family, he was called a magician because his inventions worked like magic.

Take for example, Kim Jaejoong. He is the most valuable invention that he created for his daughter Kristine. Kristine’s mother died during delivery and he never remarried. Because Kristine had no other siblings, he created her a perfect companion. She received him on her fifth birthday (Jaejoong was created as a nine-year-old) and each year, He would upgrade Jaejoong’s programming to make him quicker, more intelligent, and more life-like. Each year, Jaejoong also “grew” with Kristine, he made him older and taller every year.

Jaejoong was his masterpiece. He looked completely human. He moved as smoothly as one, talked as fluently as one, and interacted exactly like one. He was built with state-of-the art technology. However, as human as he looked, if provoked, he could easily change one of his appendages into a weapon. He was, after all, also a protective tool for Kristine. (he did love his daughter dearly.) He was smart - he could learn an opponent’s tactics by watching and fighting him.

At this moment in time, Jaejoong, now age twenty, was playing with sixteen-year-old Kristine. She had challenged Jaejoong to a game of soccer and now they were running up and down the large field her father owned. She dribbled the ball left and right, dodged Jaejoong and scored a goal.

“Yay!!” Kristine jumped. “Now the score is three-one. We’re playing to seven, right?”

“Yes, I believe that is what we agreed on.”

“Jaejoong…” Kristine tapped her foot.

“I mean, yeah, I think so.”

Kristine instantly smiled.

Krisitne's took a break from his work and looked out the window to see her daughter happily playing with Jaejoong. Unknowingly, his face broke into a smile, watching his daughter laugh and play. But something else was tugging at the back of his mind as he went back to work.

Kristine's wasn’t the only one watching. Past the yard was an old run-down school. Two men with binoculars spied upon Kristine and Jaejoong. Particularly the latter. Everyone knew of Kristine's and his mighty masterpiece Jaejoong, and these two were determined to steal him and reprogram him to obey their command, hopefully aiding them in their quest to have the world (or what was left of it) at their feet.

“Heechul, we’ve got to find a way to get Jaejoong fast! Every year we miss him he only gets stronger!” Leeteuk said.

“I know, I know. But we’ve got to somehow get them away from their house. Do you KNOW what kind of protective units may be in that mansion??”

Leeteuk grunted and sulked back into the dark depths of the deteriorating classroom with Heechul following closely behind.

“Kristine!” her father called from the fourth-story window.

“Yes, daddy?” she turned to look up at him.

“It’s time for you to come inside.”

“Alright~”

“Jaejoong,” he said.

“Yes, sir?” he responded.

“Make sure Kristine washes up before coming to the dinner table.”

“Yes, sir,” he bowed his head and Kristine's father went back inside the house. “C’mon, let’s go,” Jaejoong said to Kristine. He turned his back to her and bent his legs, signaling for her to get on his back. This was nothing unusual. She climbed on and wrapped her arms around his neck.

“Jaejoong~”

“Yes?”

“Tell me if I’m too heavy and you won’t have to carry me anymore.”

“Your father makes sure I’m strong enough to be able to withhold your weight. You don’t have to worry.”

“Thank you,” she smiled.

They finally arrived at the second floor. “It’s a little cold tonight so make sure you put on something warm,” Jaejoong reminded. “Hurry and shower, it’s almost time for dinner.”

“Alright~” As soon as she finished, Kristine went downstairs to find her father and Jaejoong already seated at the table. Even if Jaejoong didn’t eat, he was to be present at the table, mainly for their dinner discussions.

“I played soccer with Jaejoong today, dad!” Kristine exclaimed happily while eating.

“I saw,” he smiled. “Who won?”

“…Jaejoong did,” Kristine pouted. “But it’s ‘cause I didn’t want him to let me win.”

Jaejoong smiled bashfully.

“Oh, Kristine, my friend in Shinseon told me that her hotel house is finally open. Would you like to go there for a little vacation?” her father asked.

“Shinseon!?” Kristine shouted. “I’ve always dreamed to go there, dad!! It’s right by the ocean and the water is sparkly~” she said excitedly. “When are we going??”

he bit his lip. “You’ll be leaving in two days, but I’ll have to come later. I need to stay and finish up a project for Professor Su Man.”

“Okay…”

“But Jaejoong will be accompanying you.”

“Really??” she grinned widely. “Did you hear that, Jaejoong?? We get to go on vacation~” she hugged his arm.

“Yes, I heard that,” he chuckled, ruffling her hair.

“I’m going to pack right away!” she ran off to her room.

“Wait, Kristine! Your plate! Oh, what’s the use,” her father said with a sideways smile.

“I’ll take it,” Jaejoong said as he brought her plate to the kitchen.

“Jaejoong, there’s something I want to talk about with you.”

“Yes, sir?”

“You do remember what we talked about when I first made you, right?”

Jaejoong looked down. “Yes, sir.”

“Please, try to take care of that,” he said with a worried expression and patted Jaejoong on the shoulder.

“I will try my best.”

“Alright, you can go now upstairs.”

Jaejoong nodded and walked out of the dining room. “But it’s hard…” he whispered when he was out of hearing distance.

------------------------------------

“I CAN’T BELIEVE WE’RE GOING TO SHINSEON!!!” Kristine yelled while outside the house, luggage in hand.

“Shh… you’ll wake the neighbors,” Jaejoong reminded her. It was after all 4 A.M. in the morning.

“Oh, yeah,” she grinned sheepishly and whispered loudly, “I’M SO EXCITED.”

“Me, too,” he smiled. They loaded their belongings onto the hovercraft, and Jaejoong got into the driver’s seat.

“Didja hear that?” Heechul said.

“Yes,” Leeteuk nodded.

“Let’s go. We’re going to Shinseon.”

------------------------------------

“Welcome to Shinseon Suites! How may I help you?” a woman at the desk asked Kristine as she walked in with Jaejoong.

“Hi, I’m Kristine Marie Paige and this is Kim Jaejoong,” Kristine said sweetly.

“Oh! Your father told me you were coming! Here, let’s get you up to your room.” The woman left the desk and another girl came into to fill her spot. “Your father has told me about how much you love Shinseon.”

“I’ve always wanted to visit. I’ve never seen the ocean before,” she said. “Thank you, Aunty, for letting me stay.”

“Oh, it’s no problem,” she smiled. “Here is your room key. You are the eighth room on the left. If you need anything, just call us!”

“Thank you!” Kristine waved as the woman went back.

Kristine went into the room and laid on the bed, kicking off her shoes. “AHH THIS FEELS SO GOOD~”

Jaejoong pointed down the room. “Look. Our window has a view of the ocean, too.”

“OMO!” she jolted upright and ran to the window, pressing her face against it. “You can see all the boats lined up against the port! Jaejoong, it’s so pretty!!” she turned to him. He smiled and walked up behind her. He put his arms on the window and looked out at the view, taking in every aspect of it. Probably taking mental images in case anything were to happen.

Kristine looked up at him and felt his body near and her heart began beating faster. She was lost amongst her thought when he looked down at her and smiled, bringing her back to reality. She shook her head and laughed, shaking off whatever thoughts she had before.

“What’s so funny?” Jaejoong asked.

“Oh, nothing,” she smiled and ducked under his arm to go back to the bed. “I want to take a nap,” she yawned.

Jaejoong stood there watching her climb into bed. He turned back to watch the oceans waves ripple.

------------------------------------

Kristine woke up an hour later. “Jaejoong?” she called out. When she didn’t hear a response she looked frantically around the room. “Jaejoong?? Where are you??” She jumped out of the bed. “Jaejoong!?”

Just then she heard someone knock on the door. “Who is it?” she asked. She looked through the peephole, but didn’t see anyone. She turned to walk back when she heard someone knock again. This time she didn’t go to the door. After a few seconds, she heard the door unlock and the knob turn. She got ready to drop kick anyone who walked in at that moment.

The door opened and-

Jaejoong walked in.

“What the hell, Jaejoong!” Kristine hit him on the arm. “You scared me half to death! I hate you!” she kept hitting him.

“What? What’s wrong?” he finally caught her wrists. Kristine’s eyes began to tear up. “Oh, no, what’s wrong?” Jaejoong asked, holding her face in his hands.

“You weren’t here when I woke up,” she sobbed. “And I didn’t know who was at the door. I was scared.”

Jaejoong looked at her a moment. “I’m sorry,” he said, wiping her tears. “Don’t cry, I’m here now, okay?” he petted her head. Kristine stood there rubbing her eyes and crying, and as much as Jaejoong wanted to hug her, but he couldn’t.

He put one knee on the floor to look up at her face. “I’m sorry. I went out to check out the area to make sure it was safe for you.”

Jaejoong’s sobs subsided to sniffling.

“Why don’t you put on your swimming stuff and we’ll go outside,” he said. After she changed, he piggybacked her out.

“Go this way, Jaejoong!!” Kristine pointed towards the beach. He walked down to the sand and up to the water’s edge, and put her down. She ran in, splashing against the waves. Jaejoong smiled, watching her run around in the water.

“AH!” he yelled, when he felt a sharp pain in his leg and watched a wave at his foot crawl back into the ocean. “Sh’t, I forgot.” He pushed a few buttons at the bottom of his foot and after a few seconds, he could walk into the water.

“What happened?” Kristine asked, tilting her head.

“I forgot to turn on the water-proof mechanism.”

“Oh, right,” she said, remembering he wasn’t human, no matter how much he resembled one. All of a sudden, she felt a splash of water in her face. She spit out the water in her mouth and glared at a smirking Jaejoong. “Hey, you got me off guard!”

He merely smiled and splashed her again.

“Hey!” she said, throwing water at him, too, launching them into a water fight that eventually led to Kristine running up onto the sand and Jaejoong running after her. He finally caught up to her and picked her up off her feet, running with her in his arms until he finally fell with them both landing in the sand and laughing.

“You could have killed me!” Kristine panted.

“You know that would never happen if you were with me. Your dad made me to take care of you, remember?” he said, lying with his hands behind his head.

She nodded, acknowledging that fact. After a few moments of silence, she sat up. “Hey, Jaejoong,” she nudged him. He was staring up into nowhere, probably resting his… whatever it was robots rested.

“Yeah?” he turned to her.

“Look. The sun’s setting,” she smiled. He sat up and watched.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” she asked quietly.

“Very,” he murmured.

The two watched as the sky faded from the beautiful pink, purple, and orange to finally a thick dark blue.

“Jaejoong, can we sleep here? On the beach?” Kristine asked.

“It’s not safe,” he said. “We should go back to the suite.”

“I want to sleep on the sand, just once. Please~?” she pleaded.

Jaejooong watched as she gave him a puppy-dog pout. “Alright,” he sighed. “We can stay here. But we have to go get a blanket or something. You’re going to freeze out here.” They got up and headed down to the small number of stores. Most were already closed, but one tiny one had its light on and the two entered. They purchased two thick blankets and headed back down to the beach to stay the night.

------------------------------------

When Kristine woke up the next morning, again, Jaejoong was nowhere to be found. She assumed he was out scoping the area again, so she folded up the blankets. While she was stacking them up, she felt two hands cover her face. “Guess who?”

“Who else knows I’m here?” Kristine laughed. She pulled his hands off her face and turned to face Jaejoong. “Where’d you go this time?”

“I went to get…. this!” He held up a silver necklace in front of her. On it dangled a black ring that Kristine took into her hand.

“It’s so pretty! Oh there’s something inscribed here…” She looked at the inside of the ring. “‘From, Jaejoong.’ Aww…” She smiled at him. “Can you help me put it on?” she asked. He took the necklace from her hands and put it around her neck. Kristine’s face turned red when she felt his chest close to her face. And… did he have a scent? No, wait, robots don’t have scents, she laughed again.

“What’re you laughing about?” Jaejoong asked after he had clasped the necklace.

“Nothing~~”

“Riiight. Anyway, are you hungry?”

“Yeah! I’m starving!”

“Let’s go back up to see what restaurants are up there,” Jaejoong said, grabbing her hand.

As they strolled along the shops, something caught Kristine’s eye. “Look, Jaejoong!” she pointed in the glass window. “Isn’t that ring like the one on my necklace?”

He pouted. “Yes, I got it here.”

“I wanna go inside.”

“Why?”

“You’ll see,” she dragged him in. “Excuse me, ma’am?” she said to a woman who was fumbling with some boxes behind her.

“Yes?” she turned around. “Oh, you’re the young man that was here earlier!” she said, referring to Jaejoong. “Is this your girlfriend?”

Kristine laughed. “No, I’m just his friend. But I was wondering, do you have any of these rings in men’s sizes?”

“I do, actually. Hold on one moment.” The women went to the back room.

“What are you doing?” Jaejoong asked.

“I want to get you one, too.”

“What? Why?”

“So… we can match!” she smiled.

“I don’t think Mr. Paige would be happy about that.”

“Why not?”

Before Jaejoong could answer, the woman came back with a few boxes. “Here are the different sizes we have.”

“Jaejoong, what size are you? Oh wait, guys don’t know these types of things. Here,” she grabbed his hand and held it in front of her.

“Kristine!” he tried to wriggle his hand from her grasp.

“Stop, I can’t put this on if you keep moving.” She finally picked out a ring that fit. “Could I get something engraved on this?”

“Of course. What would you like?”

Kristine whispered something to the woman and the lady nodded and headed to the back room again.

“What’d you tell her?”

“You’ll see.”

“I don’t like it when you say, ‘You’ll see.’ The last time you said it, you ended up buying me a ring.”

She smiled and spun around in her chair waiting for the woman. When she finally came back out, she boxed the ring and handed it to Kristine. “Thank you so much!” she said and left with Jaejoong.

“Can I see it now?”

“So you do want it?” Kristine asked.

Jaejoong didn’t say anything.

“Here,” she laughed. She gave him the box and he pulled out the ring. On the inside it said, ‘Love, Kristine.’

“Yah, why’d you get that inscribed on there? Your dad won’t like it.”

“Why wouldn’t he? And why do you keep bringing him up? Jaejoong, you’re weird.”

“No, I’m a robot.”

Kristine looked at him. “What does that have to do with anything?”

“Nevermind,” he shook his head.

“No, tell me. What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, forget it. Let’s go back to the suite,” he took her wrist, but she yanked her hand from his.

“No, Jaejoong. I’ve never wanted to pull this card, but I guess I have to: as your MASTER, I demand that you tell me.”

Jaejoong looked at her with emotionless eyes, the first time she had seen him devoid of any feeling. And it scared her. “You are not my master. Your father is, and he has instructed me to only protect you and keep you company. Anything out of these bounds I am not allowed to cross.” He handed her back the box. “Now let’s go,” he finished coldly and started for the suite.

Kristine was in a state of complete and utter shock. Never had he acknowledged the fact he was only meant to serve. And never had he ever lashed out at her like that. She felt a hot burning sensation on the back of her eyes and as hard as she tried she could keep the tears back.

Jaejoong turned around when he noticed she wasn’t following behind. He saw her standing there, glaring at him as tears streamed down her face. “Kristine…” he said.

“Is it that bad, Jaejoong? Is it that bad for me to say that I love you? There aren’t many people I have left in this world. There’s only my father, and then there’s you. You guys are all I have left!!! There’s no one left for me! And here you are taking my affection and throwing it away like it’s something repulsive! Why can’t I tell you that I love you? That you’re someone who’s important to me!?” she cried.

“BECAUSE I’M A ROBOT, KRISTINE. YOU CAN’T LOVE A ROBOT. YOU CAN‘T LOVE ME.” Kristine looked at him, quiet. “I know you don’t mean it in the romantic way, but love is a strong word that shouldn’t be thrown around. If you’re not careful, it can be misconstrued the wrong way.”

Her crying stopped and she just looked at him with hollow eyes. She walked past him back towards the suite.

“Kristine,” Jaejoong called her. “Kristine!” he called again when she didn’t turn around. She continued her fast pace and didn’t give him a second glance. He sighed and decided to be satisfied with just following closely behind her.

When they turned to reach the entrance of the hotel suite, the owner ran out, her face struck with panic. “HELP! KRISTINE, SOMETHING’S HAPPENED!!” she yelled frantically, causing Kristine and Jaejoong run into the concierge to find the bell girl with her unconscious on the floor. Jajoone scanned the room, but found no traces of any other people. He walked up to the desk and found a note:

“We know you’re here.”

------------------------------------

“Kristine, we’re not safe,we have to go home,” Jaejoong said. They were in their suite after the police had come to check out the crime scene and placate the frenetic owner.

“You’re already tired of having to put up with me for a day?” she retorted.

“Kristine, be mature. You saw what happened out there. It’s not safe here.”

“Be mature~” she mocked him. “yeah, whatever, General Kim. Let me pack up my sh’t now then,” she said as she got up to get her luggage.

“Hey,” he grabbed her arm and spun around to face him. He leaned in closely and said menacingly, “I won’t tolerate this kind of behavior.”

“Did my dad program you to discipline me, too?”

He loosened his grip on her arm and stepped back. “Alright, go ahead. You can continue with this little tirade all you want, but we are getting the hell out of here before you get hurt.”

“Yeah, cause if I’m hurt, you’re in BIG trouble,” Kristine scoffed.

Jaejoong ignored her last comment and went to pack his belongings.

After they had silently finished their tasks, Kristine went to take a nap. Jaejoong sat on the couch and stared out onto the glistening water. As much as he didn’t want to show it, he hated it when Kristine was angry at him. That’s why he always did his best to please her. Not because her father made him to do so, but because he felt himself fall apart inside to ever see Kristine hurt.

-flashback-

Jaejoong heard a soft sobbing coming from Kristine’s room in the middle of the night. He got up to check what was going on and saw her sitting up in her bed, rubbing her eyes.

“Kristine, what’s wrong?” he asked, pulling her hands from her face.

“Jaejoong… Why did mommy have to leave?” the little ten-year-old hiccuped while tears streaked her face.

Jaejoong didn’t know what to do or what to say, only that he felt like his own self was suffering this pain. He held her hand and squeezed it. “Because she wanted you to live. Life is a very valuable thing, you know.”

“Then why would she give up her own life?”

“People want to preserve life to last as long as possible,” he stroked her face. “That’s why she gave herself up to a new life, one that would last a very long time.”

“I… I wish we could have split my life in half so mommy could have some more years,” she sobbed. “Jaejoong, can I have a hug?”

“I’m sorry, Kristine. You might accidentally press a button somewhere,” he recited.

“Oh…”

“I’m sorry. Here,” he kissed her forehead. “Do you feel better?”

She sniffled. “A little bit.” And he smiled.

-end flashback-

He gritted his teeth as he remembered what had taken place today. It’s true. He and her father were all she had left. And he couldn’t even accept her love. He felt a pain in his chest, but it quickly subsided. He turned on the TV to see if there was anything worth watching.

------------------------------------

Kristine had woke up and Jaejoong suggested they go out to eat lunch. After they finished eating, they went to a small park.Kristine climbed onto the spinning platform and leaned against one of the handholds. Jaejoong grabbed one of the handrails and pulled the platform.

“I… I’m sorry, Jaejoong,” Kristine finally spoke. “You’re right. It was foolish of me to do all that. I don’t know what came over me.”

Jaejoong looked at her forced smile. “No, I should be sorry. I didn’t take your feelings into consideration and I’m sorry to have hurt you. You know your happiness is very important to me, even if you think it’s just my job.”

“I know it’s not just your job. I shouldn’t have said all that.” Jaejoong ran and jumped onto the platform, causing it to spin slowly on its own as they sat on the rails.

“Anyway, it’s really not safe for us to be here,” he said.

“I know. I’ll call daddy tonight and tell him we’re leaving first thing in the morning.”

“That’s the Kristine I know,” Jaejoong smiled. He pushed her hair back and kissed her on the forehead. “So what should we do the rest of the day?”

“I dunno. We should look for something to do around here. Maybe we should go scuba diving! Do they even have that? OR MAYBE WE SHOULD RENT A BOAT!” she said excitedly.

“Haha, calm down. We can only do one thing at a time.”

“Mm…” she pouted. “Oh! I know I reallyyy shouldn’t do this… but can you pleaseeee wear this?” she said, handing him the box. “We’re over it, right? I don’t want this to go to waste.”

He took the box. “Alright,” he gave in. He slipped the ring on his right fourth finger.

“Perfect!” she giggled.

“HELLO THERE, LOVE BIRDS!” a voice bellowed from above them. A few feet away, and ten feet off the ground, were two men standing on a floating platform.

“KRISTINE, GET BEHIND ME!” Jaejoong yelled as the men moved towards them.

“I’M SORRY, LITTLE LADY, BUT I’LL HAVE TO BORROW YOUR BOYFRIEND,” he said as he swooped down, grabbing Jaejoong. Jaejoong tried to fight off the men, but they stabbed an electrical tool into his side, causing him to be temporarily short-circuited.

“JAEJOONG!!!” Kristine yelled.

“GOODBYE!” the men cackled as they flew away.

Kristine ran as fast as she could back to the suite and took out her portable hologram device. She turned it on and switched it to her father’s channel.

“Kristine, How are you?” he asked.

“DAD THEY TOOK JAEJOONG!!!”

“What???”

“Some men! There were two of them,” Kristine started choking up. “They got him,” she cried.

“It’s okay, honey, I’ll come right over and we’ll find him! I promise!”

“Hurry!!” she said, tears falling down.

------------------------------------

Jaejoong slowly opened his eyes. He was up and running again. He looked around to find himself in a metal and glass case with one of the captors. “Why, hello there,” Jaejoong greeted kindly.

The man looked at him. “Shut up.”

“Well, I guess I’m not getting out of here the easy way.”

“You sure as hell aren’t.”

“Very well then.” Jaejoong lifted his arm and placed against the wall of the case. “Three.”

“What are you doing?”

“Two,” he continued smiling.

“Hey, answer me!”

“One.”

A huge explosion erupted inside the case and it shattered to pieces. The man fell to the ground and Jaejoong landed on his feet. “Hey, what’s going on here!?” the other captor came down on his hovering platform. “What the hell??” when he saw his cage in pieces.

Jaejoong grabbed a nearby platform and zoomed up.

“Get back here!!!” the man raced after him.

“Jaejoong!!!” a voice called in the distance. Out popped Kristine, her father, and two others on floating platforms.

“What are you doing?? Go!!!!” he exclaimed, and they all sped back to the suite.

By now, both captors had gotten on the platforms and chased after the group. They weaved between buildings, through trees, above the oceans, and back above buildings. Jaejoong, Kristine, and their group turned, only to find themselves at a dead end.

“Well, well, well,” the men smirked. “If it isn’t Mr. Paige, himself. It’s quite an honor to meet you in person.”

“What do you want with Jaejoong?”

“You know damn well what we want with him. Who wouldn’t want an ultimate powerful human robot? With him, we could have the world at our feet!”

“Jaejoong would never help you!” Kristine blurted out.

“And you. Aren’t you quite the cutie? You must be pretty close to him, huh? You two on a honeymoon here? Well I just want to tell you something in case you didn’t know - you can’t love a robot,” he cackled. “They bend to the will of their programming, and once we get our hands on him, he will be under our control.”

“You guys better not move any closer. I will do to you exactly what I did earlier,” Jaejoong threatened.

“Can you do that again? I would think you’d need to power up your battery again. Robots can’t recover as fast as humans can naturally recover.”

“Shut up and leave before I blow both your heads off,” Jaejoong moved forward in front of the group.

“Well then, shall we have a fight?”

“I don’t want to do anything I don’t have-” Jaejoong was cut off as the men shot something at him, causing him and his platform to stagger.

“JAEJOONG!”

“Cut the talking and let’s get this over with!” the men yelled. “If you don’t come on your own, we’re dragging you with us!”

Jaejoong raced towards them and kicked one of the men in the face, causing him to fall and crash onto the ground many feet below them, dying on impact.

“You killed Leeteuk!”

“Do I look like I care? I’m a robot remember?” Jaejoong said.

Heechul took another shot at Jaejoong, who adeptly dodged it and sent a punch at Heechul. He ducked at punched Jaejoong in the gut, and Jaenoong almost fell off his platform. Heechul stood above him, about ready to peel his fingers from the edge of the platform. “Come with me and I won’t hurt you any more.”

“F’ck you,” Jaejoong said, and raised a gun at Heechul and shot his head into millions of fleshly pieces.

“Omg Jaejoong,” Kristine came over to him and helped him back up. Jaejoong transformed his gun back into his arm. She jumped on his platform and hugged him tightly.

“Kristine, you’re not supposed to-”

“Kristine!” her father yelled.

“I don’t care!” she cried. “I was this close to losing Jaejoong, I don’t want to lose him again!” she sobbed. Instinctively, Jaejoong wrapped his arms around her shaking frame and pressed her close against his chest as she held on tightly. “Jaejoong, don’t leave me.”

“You know I never would,” he cooed.

Ba-dump, ba-dump, Kristine heard. She stopped crying. Ba-dump, ba-dump. She heard a heartbeat. Ba-dump, ba-dump. It wasn’t hers.

“Jaejoong.”

He didn’t look at her. He knew she heard it.

“Look at me,” she pulled his face to face hers. “What is that?”

“What is what?”

“You know what I’m talking about! Jaejoong, you told me I can’t love a robot. Robots don’t have hearts.”

“Yes, I know,” he murmured.

“Kristine…” her father said.

“Stop, dad. Jaejoong, are you or are you not a robot?”

“I am.”

She slapped him. “Robots don’t have hearts! I heard yours right now! Were you lying to me this whole time!?” she said as the tears came back again.

“I’m half a robot, Kristine,” he whispered, as his eyes began to glisten.

“What are you saying?” she looked at him.

“I’m half robot, half human.”

“Kristine,” her father said and this time she looked at him.

“Dad, what’s he talking about?”

“Kristine… a few days after the explosion, I found Jaejoong knocking at our door. He was half-dead. But he pleaded with me to help him, and so for the parts he lacked, I made up with technology.”

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Kristine asked, her voice coming out as barely a whisper.

“I made him promise that he would not let anyone else but him and me know that he was not completely a robot because… I knew that you’d eventually fall in love with him if you knew he was human.”

“Is that so wrong?” she asked, looking back and forth between her father and Jaejoong.

“Kristine… do you know why Jaejoong has to be upgraded annually?” her father questioned solemnly.

She shook her head.

“Because each year…. his heartbeat gets weaker.”

“No…” Kristine said, grabbing tightly onto Jaejoong.

“I’m sorry, honey… but I didn’t want you to end up loving someone who would not be able to live very long. I didn’t want you to get hurt again.”

“Daddy, there must be something you can do. Don’t let him go, dad,” she pleaded.

“The only way to keep him alive would be to make him nearly 100% robot, but then he’d be completely unable to love.”

“Daddy, please…” she cried, falling to her knees.

“Kristine!” Jaejoong crouched down to her level and held her in his arms. “Please don’t do this, Kristine,” he said, his mouth quivering. “I don’t want it to be like this either. But if I want to live, this is how it’s going to be.”

“But Jaejoong… I love you, you can’t just… end up not loving me,” she cried.

“I love you, Kristine, I love you now. I never wanted to tell you because I knew that eventually, I wouldn’t be able to love you and I didn’t want to hurt you. Kristine, please don’t be like this,” he said, tears streaming down his face.

“I’m sorry that I love you, and I’m sorry that you love me, too.”
